Most People Miss This… (Proverbs 1:7 Explained)

“Most people miss this… but it changes everything.”

Everyone is searching for wisdom.

Answers.
Direction.
Clarity for life.

But many overlook the one thing that everything else is built on.

They search for knowledge…
but skip the foundation.

📖 Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
— Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)

💭 What This Means

The “fear of the Lord” doesn’t mean being afraid of God.

It means:

  • reverence
  • respect
  • recognizing who He truly is

It’s understanding that God is not just a part of life…

👉 He is the foundation of it.

Without that foundation, everything else becomes unstable.

🔥 The Missing Piece

Many people want wisdom…

but don’t want to submit to it.

They want answers…

but not correction.

They want direction…

but not guidance.

And that’s where things begin to fall apart.

💥 The Truth to Hold On To

Wisdom doesn’t begin with information…
it begins with reverence.

Until we acknowledge God’s place in our lives…

we will always be searching, but never fully finding.

🙏 A Moment to Reflect

What place does God hold in your life right now?

Is He:

  • someone you turn to only in trouble?
  • or the foundation you build on daily?

Be honest with yourself for a moment.

🙌 A Short Prayer

Lord,
Help me to understand what it truly means to honor You.

Not just in words…
but in how I live, think, and choose.

Let my life be built on Your truth…
and guide me in wisdom every day.

Amen.
