The Eternal Reminder of God’s Love
So we have been told again and again…
A long time ago, Jesus said:
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6
Then He declared:
“Whoever believes in Me will never perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16
And again He promised:
“If you ask anything of the Father in My name, it shall be given to you.” — John 14:13–14
He reminded us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
“Have faith in Me,” Jesus says, “and I will deliver you.”
The Redeemer’s Purpose
Jesus came not to condemn, but to redeem.
He came for the sick and the sinners, for the lost and the broken.
He truly wants all of us back — does He not?
He healed the sick.
He raised the dead.
He restored hope where there was none.
Just before His Passion, He performed one final act —
one that would forever remind the world of who He is.
During the Last Supper,
He took bread, blessed it, broke it, and said:
“Take and eat. This is My body, which will be given up for you.”
In that sacred moment, Jesus declared that His body would be a living sacrifice — a gift of love for the salvation of all.
Then, taking the cup, He said:
“This is My blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant.
It will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Do this in memory of Me.” — Luke 22:20
The Promise of Forever
Brothers and sisters,
As many times as we have heard this, God — out of His immeasurable love — continues to remind us that the life we long for, when it is with Him, is forever.
What awaits those who hope in Jesus is the reward of eternal life —
a life of total joy, peace, and goodness beyond measure.
If heaven is where God resides,
then it can only be the fullness of everything good.
Even the greatest joys of this earth
will never compare to the glory that awaits us in His presence.
“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places…
I go to prepare a place for you.” — John 14:2
A Call to Remembrance and Faith
As we are reminded of the Gospel,
may our ears never tire of hearing the good news,
and may our hearts never grow weary of welcoming the wisdom that flows from the mouth of God.
Let our minds be as sponges soaked in His truth,
so that His Word remains in our souls —
guiding us back to the bosom of our Lord God Almighty.
A Prayer of Daily Renewal
May the power of the Holy Spirit
become the power that drives us every day of our lives.
May the peace of Jesus Christ
govern the thoughts that dwell in our minds,
and fill us with the hope of a joyful eternal life with Him.
It has been said that we are what we think —
so if we keep our thoughts fixed on Jesus Christ…
Guess what? We begin to become like Him!
God bless all His places and His people.
To Him be the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
