Faith for Peace

Faith for Peace

The Turning Point

The day I stopped obsessing over what was wrong was the very day I discovered what it meant to walk in the right direction. Peace, true peace, does not come from dwelling on mistakes, failures, or regrets. It comes when we turn our focus toward what is right, what is good, and what is of God.

Life Is Too Short to Waste

Life is short. Every one of us has but a fleeting moment here on earth. Can we really afford to waste that precious time meddling in what went wrong? Shouldn’t we instead devote our strength, our attention, and our days to the things that uplift, encourage, and glorify God? For it is not our righteousness, but His righteousness, that we are called to seek.

The Truth That Frees

Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” That truth is not hidden in bitterness, worry, or regret. It is revealed in Christ Himself. When we set our eyes on Him, on His goodness and His mercy, the chains of fear and anxiety fall away.

Choosing to Focus on Good

Imagine if we lived every day focused on what was good. If we forgave the bad, if we released the hurt, if we let go of yesterday’s disappointments—would not our hearts find peace? Absolutely. For peace in Christ is not temporary; it is eternal. It is a peace that surpasses understanding, a peace that no circumstance can steal.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

When we recognize that forever peace awaits us in Him, what reason remains for worry? The sting of past wrongs loses its grip when eternity is already secure in Christ. Yesterday is meant to be forgiven. Today is meant to be lived with joy and gratitude. Tomorrow is in God’s hands, and He alone will bring it forth in His perfect timing.

Sixty Minutes of Life

If I had but sixty minutes left in this life, how should I spend them? Should I waste them re-living regrets, worrying about mistakes, or drowning in “what could have been”? Or should I spend those minutes lifting my heart toward heaven, soaking in His love, and resting in the assurance of His salvation?

The Only Way Forward

The answer is clear: we were not created to live in regret—we were created to live in Christ. Jesus is waiting. He has been patient, merciful, and full of grace. His invitation is open, and His arms are extended. The best way we can live is by fixing our eyes on Him, walking in His truth, and looking forward to that forever peace and tranquility with Almighty God.

Amen.
