Why Is It a Good Friday?
Today MUST DEFINITELY BE a Good Friday.
As Christians, today we remember and reflect on the death of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Today, we are called to revisit and relive—in our hearts—the suffering that Jesus willingly endured for the salvation of mankind.
This day marks the beginning of something eternal…
our redemption.
So yes…
this must be a GOOD Friday.
It was on this day that true believers were saved from sin through the suffering of Jesus—
from the agony…
to the cross…
and finally, His death.
Today is GOOD not because of what happened to Him…
but because of what happened for us.
This is the day our salvation began.
This should be one of the most meaningful and powerful days for every believer—
because Jesus took upon Himself our sins,
our failures,
our burdens…
He carried all of it…
so that we wouldn’t have to.
Just imagine—
what would life be like
if Jesus had not fulfilled the will of the Father?
Where would we be?
Lost.
Separated.
Without hope.
But because He chose obedience…
because He chose love…
because He chose the cross…
we were given life.
So yes—
this is not a day of defeat.
This is a day of victory.
A painful victory…
but a victorious one nonetheless.
That is why today…
is truly a Good Friday.
