🌅 -There Will Be a Day

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.”

— Revelation 21:4

The Day of No More Tears

There will be a day when—
there are no more tears,
no more pain,
no more fears,
and no more suffering.

A day when we finally walk away from sin.
But when that day comes, how will we stand before our God?
Will we appear as people who carried forgiveness in our hearts?
Will our faces show that we are welcome in His Kingdom?

In God’s Kingdom

In God’s Kingdom,
no one is without love,
no one lacks charity or forgiveness.
Every soul there is filled with the love of God.

God gave us the capacity to love.
He wants to see how we use that gift.
He desires our love in return—
for in this exchange, His divine glory is complete.
It fulfills the manifestation of His power as He intended.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
He is the King of Kings.
He is the one and only Son of God.

Preparing for Eternity

And so, when my time comes—
for it is certain that no one leaves this world alive—
my faith tells me that life continues beyond the death of the body.
How, then, can we prepare for this certainty?
Should we not make sure that our eternal future shines bright?

Too often, we take one thing for granted—ourselves.

But here’s the truth:
We must learn to be selfish for God.

The Right Kind of Selfishness

Yes—this is the one kind of selfishness that is holy.
Let us be selfish in a way that aligns with God’s intentions.
Let our every thought be consumed with a desire to be perfect in His sight.
Let our hearts be filled with the longing to hear His voice on that day—
and not the silence of separation.

When we fill ourselves with God’s commandments,
we are filled with His wisdom.
We become His people.
And who among us does not want to be full of His grace and mercy?

Selfish behavior is undesirable to God—except in this way:
To be selfish about our relationship with Him.
To think often, deeply, and earnestly about how God will see us
when we finally stand before Him.

This is the best kind of selfishness—
the one that leads us closer to God, not farther away.

Reflection

When that day comes, may we all stand before our Maker
with hearts pure, souls cleansed, and spirits overflowing with love.
Let our lives today prepare us for that tomorrow.
Let us believe in Christ, live His words, and love as He loves.

For Jesus said:

“Believe and live.”

And indeed—that glorious day is coming.
