The Constant and the Changing
STATIC OR DYNAMIC
God remains eternally the same — steadfast, perfect, and unchanging.
Yet we, His creation, are in a constant state of change. It is the gift and the burden of free will.
Change, in itself, is necessary. It is the means by which we grow, mature, and learn to understand both our strengths and our frailties. Through change, we discover the many facets of life and deepen our appreciation of God’s divine plan.
But when change becomes excessive — when we allow it to redefine our values, distort our character, or move us away from God’s truth — we risk losing sight of who we truly are. Too much change can overwhelm us to the point where even our reflection becomes unrecognizable.
God’s constancy serves as our anchor amidst life’s shifting tides.
While everything around us transforms and evolves, His Word, His Love, and His Promise remain unchanged.
So when we find ourselves lost in the whirlwind of life’s transitions, may we remember to return to the One who never changes — the One who grounds all things in truth, love, and purpose.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8
