💍 Married? Then Together We Shall Be
A Reflection on God’s Plan for Marriage and Free Will
🌿 God’s Plan for Marriage
Are we, as married couples, meant to be together for life?
Scripture clearly teaches that God is not in favor of divorce — yet He allows it.
That allowance reveals the depth of His love for us.
God gives us free will, letting us make our own choices, even wrong ones, though He may not be pleased by them.
Marriage, like faith, is a covenant built on both God’s design and human responsibility.
He meant for husband and wife to be together, but He never forces us to love — He allows us to choose love.
God’s love is so immense that He allows our freedom,
even when our choices bring pain.
🛤 The Gift of Free Will
When we make decisions outside of God’s will, He often lets us proceed — but the results will reflect that separation.
Our paths, however, are never accidental.
People meet by God’s design and for a divine purpose.
Every meeting, every union, is a gift from Him — a chance to live the life He intended.
In marriage, both husband and wife are given opportunities daily to choose the right path — the one that leads to love, peace, and fulfillment.
✝️ Choosing the Right Direction
There are many directions in life, but only one is right — God’s direction.
It is the path of love that bears the fruit of kindness, forgiveness, compassion, empathy, sensitivity, courtesy, thoughtfulness, patience, respect, and contentment.
This is God’s blueprint for marriage — a union that endures “till death do us part.”
Sometimes, couples face moments of deep misunderstanding.
These moments can turn to bitterness or become opportunities for grace.
The way we react determines the outcome — peace or misery.
❤️ The Power of Reaction
Have we ever paused to wonder what would happen if, instead of reacting with anger or frustration,
we responded with love, understanding, and patience?
Life is unpredictable, but God’s way is not.
When we follow Him, the destination is certain — life with God.
The other path, the one away from Him, leads only to emptiness.
“Go Right” — both spiritually and literally —
for God Himself called it the Right Way.
Changing our attitude and reactions is the key to peace.
Every encounter is an opportunity to choose compassion over conflict.
☮️ Living in Peace and Charity
“Peace be with you.”
This should be our daily greeting, for only peace can produce more peace.
You want peace? — Give peace.
You want love? — Give love.
You want fulfillment? — Be content.
You want unity? — Show compassion.
Everything about life begins with charity.
God is charitable — He gave us life.
Creation itself was His act of giving.
He created because He is a giving God, and in His image, we too find joy only through giving.
A giving heart is a truly rich heart.
🌅 Together, by God’s Design
It is no accident that our paths have crossed.
We are here to teach, to learn, and to love one another as God intended.
Every act, every trial, every joy is part of His design to shape us.
If we believe we are together because it is God’s will,
then we must accept one another with contentment and gratitude.
Even when life feels heavy or imperfect, remember —
the bad moments will pass like the wind.
Together we shall be,
for it is — and always will be — in God’s plan.
🙏 Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for the sacred gift of marriage.
Teach us to walk in Your direction — the right way.
Help us to love without condition, forgive without measure,
and give without expecting in return.
May our union always reflect Your divine love and peace.
Amen.
