🙏 Trusting God — In My Life
đź“– Key Verse
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
đź’ When Trust Comes Easier for Strangers Than for God
Isn’t it strange that sometimes we’re quicker to trust a stranger—like an Uber driver—than to trust God Himself?
We step into cars driven by people we’ve never met, believing they’ll take us safely to our destination, yet we hesitate to believe that God, who created the heavens and the earth, can guide us where we need to go.
For some, trusting people feels easier because they can see them.
But faith is about believing in the unseen —
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
I’ve often doubted God without realizing it. My own human limitations sometimes prevent me from fully surrendering my trust. But Scripture reminds us that our weakness is the very reason we must depend on Him:
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
⚖️ The Two Sides of Being Human
I often find myself in this inner conflict:
- I trust the Lord because I am only human.
- Because I am human, I sometimes fail to trust the Lord.
Would God understand this duality in my heart?
Of course He would — because He designed our hearts.
Jesus Himself showed compassion toward those whose faith wavered, like the leper who said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” (Luke 5:12)
And Jesus answered, “I am willing.”
That exchange shows that God is always willing — He only waits for us to trust Him enough to ask.
💗 God’s Kind of Good
God’s goodness isn’t like human “good.” It’s absolute.
Without Him, life might still have moments of pleasure or success, but it will lack the true goodness that only His presence brings.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.” — James 1:17
When I allow God to be able in my life — by trusting Him — His blessings flow freely.
When I don’t trust Him, I disable His ability to move through me.
That’s why free will matters: God never forces Himself into our hearts; He waits for our invitation.
đźš— A Thought to Ponder
I can step into an Uber without a second thought.
I trust the driver, the car, and the app — all made by man.
But do I trust God that easily?
If we trusted Him with that same automatic confidence, wouldn’t He see our faith and work more powerfully in our lives?
“According to your faith be it unto you.” — Matthew 9:29
🌿 Faith Enables God’s Power
When I trust God, I enable Him in my life.
When I doubt, I disable His power.
And when I leave Him out, I invite chaos in.
That’s why I now choose to let trust be my daily act of love toward Him.
Trusting God is loving Him.
And loving Him means giving Him control over every detail of my life.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
✝️ My Personal Prayer
TRUSTING GOD I MUST MAKE,
FOR MY LIFE IS AT STAKE.
I PRAY THAT GOD WHO’S WITH ME NOT FORSAKE,
AND GRANT A MERCIFUL ENDING WHEN MY LIFE HE TAKES.
đź’¬ Final Reflection
Jesus said,
“Whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” — Matthew 16:25
To trust God is to surrender — not because we have no choice, but because we choose to let the One who knows all things direct our steps.
A life that trusts God is a life that finds peace, purpose, and power.
When I trust Him, I gain everything I thought I’d lost.
